Anaphylactic Shock Is Scary
Anaphylactic shock usually causes the lips to swell up, hives to break out on the skin, wheezing, coughing, and difficulty breathing. Epinephrine must be administered to reverse the symptoms and medical treatment must be sought. In many cases, a second anaphylactic shock episode will occur within the same day as the first, even after treatment. This is very scary and should be avoided as well as possible by limiting exposure to allergens.
